Tjerk was first licensed in 1979 as ZR6PZ and obtained ZS6P in 1981.  Calls also held are C91P and A25/ZS6P

Awards include Top of the Honor Roll,  Honor Roll on SSB and Mixed, 5 Band DXCC, 5BWAZ, WAS, All Africa Award and WAZS-400

Tjerk has operated in CQWW from Botswana as A25/ZS6P

He is a member of the Pretoria Amateur Radio Club, South African Radio League and the ARRL
 
Tjerk also serves as the Awards Manager for SARL and is the ARRL’s South Africa DXCC checkpoint

After owning and operating a “Automotive Climate Control Specialist” workshop for over 50 years he is now retired to spend more time on Amateur Radio and help plan DXpeditions to C9!
